What is RHA filler?
RHA® filler is a soft gel made from hyaluronic acid, a substance your body naturally produces to keep skin hydrated and plump. Doctors inject it under the skin to smooth wrinkles, restore lost volume, and help the face look more youthful while still moving naturally.
How long does RHA filler last?
Most RHA fillers last 9–15 months, depending on the area treated, how much filler is used, and how fast your body breaks it down. Areas that move a lot (like around the mouth) may break down a little faster.
Does filler move over time?
In most cases, filler stays where it is placed. However, if too much is injected or if the area is massaged repeatedly, a small amount can shift slightly. Experienced injectors place the filler carefully to reduce this risk.
Can filler be dissolved?
Yes. Because RHA fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, they can be safely dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase if needed. This is helpful if someone wants to reverse the treatment or correct uneven results.
How RHA Filler Treats Common Areas
Nasolabial Folds (Smile Lines)
These are the lines that run from the sides of your nose to the corners of your mouth. RHA filler is placed under the crease to lift and soften the fold, making the face look smoother and more refreshed.
Marionette Lines
These lines run from the corners of the mouth down toward the chin and can make someone look sad or tired. Filler helps restore support around the mouth and lift the corners slightly.
Smoker’s Lines (Lip Lines)
These are small vertical lines above the upper lip. A very soft filler can be injected in tiny amounts to smooth the lines without making the lips look overfilled.
Tear Trough (Under-Eye Hollows)
Some people have hollow areas under their eyes that create dark shadows or a tired appearance. Carefully placed filler can add gentle volume to the hollow area, making the under-eye area look brighter and smoother.
Temples
As we age, the temples can lose volume and look hollow. RHA filler can be injected in this area to restore fullness and improve the overall shape of the upper face.
Is RHA filler safe?
When performed by a trained medical professional, RHA fillers are considered safe and FDA-approved for certain facial areas. Common side effects include mild swelling, redness, or bruising that usually resolves within a few days.
If you’re considering filler, a consultation with a qualified injector can help determine which areas may benefit most and how much filler is needed for natural results.
Does Lip Filler Hurt?
But the good news is, most clients report minimal to no pain during their treatment!
