I visited this med spa for Botox. Not only do they have incredible office hours but they had the best pricing in town. I am completely satisfied with my results, I like my eyebrows to be lifted and everything else smooth and mission accomplished! Dr. Carolyn was helpful with my other questions and was welcoming and really nice to chat with. I will definitely be back.

Been trying to find a good Doctor that wouldn't try to oversell me. A lot of them do. This is the third place I have gone since I moved here to Hawaii and by far the best one. I know exactly what I want. Went to the Ohana medspa to get some Botox in my crowsfeet. The experience was great. Dr. Carolyn is very knowledgeable and did not try to oversell me. Going back to get PRP done and I can't wait!

I have seen Dr. Carolyn for several treatments. I wouldn’t go to anyone else. My daughter has also seen her for lip filler. If you are looking for a tailored, less-is-more approach, Dr. Carolyn is your girl! Kelly who also does waxing and facials is also the best and just so sweet. She makes you feel so special and loved. My only complaint is that I didn’t find Dr. Carolyn sooner!
Dynamic wrinkles – these develop from repeated facial movements. If you pucker your lips around a straw frequently, for example, you might get lip lines.
Static wrinkles – these result from a loss of elasticity and the takeover of gravity. Wrinkles that come with jowls are static.
Dynamic wrinkles can become static wrinkles over time. Fine smile lines morph into more prominent nasolabial folds from our cheeks lose plumpness and do a slight plummet in middle age. – Healthline.com

How Does Botox Work?
Botox relaxes wrinkles by blocking signals between nerves and muscles. This prevents the muscles from contracting as much, which softens existing lines and helps prevent new ones from forming.
What’s the Difference Between Botox, Xeomin, and Daxxify?
Botox – The most well-known wrinkle relaxer, lasting 3-4 months.
Xeomin – A “pure” form with no extra proteins, reducing the risk of resistance. Lasts 3-4 months.
Daxxify – Peptide-stabilized formula that lasts 6-9 months.
Each has unique benefits—ask your provider which is best for you.
Which Wrinkle Relaxer Lasts the Longest?
Botox and Xeomin typically last 3-4 months. Daxxify lasts longer, up to 6-9 months, especially when higher doses are used.
Each has unique benefits—ask your provider which is best for you.
What is Xeomin and How is it Different?
Xeomin contains only botulinum toxin with no added proteins. This makes it less likely for the body to develop resistance, ensuring consistent results over time.
What Makes Daxxify Unique?
Daxxify has a special peptide that allows it to bind to muscles more effectively. This helps it work faster and last longer than Botox and Xeomin.
What Are the Side Effects of Botox, Xeomin, and Daxxify?
All three are safe when administered by a professional. Common side effects include mild swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection site. Some people may experience headaches or temporary eyelid drooping.
Immediately advise your provider when these occurs.
How Much Do Botox, Xeomin, and Daxxify Cost?
Botox & Xeomin cost more per unit but require fewer units.
Daxxify costs less per unit but requires more units for full effect.
Your provider can help determine the most cost-effective option for your goals.
How many units can be used during the Botox treatment?
The number of units used during a Botox treatment can vary depending on the specific areas being treated, the desired outcome, and the expertise of the healthcare professional administering the treatment. Botox is typically measured in units, and the number of units required can vary for different facial muscles and treatment goals.
It's important to consult with a qualified healthcare professional, who can evaluate your specific needs and provide personalized recommendations for the number of units required for your Botox treatment. They will assess your facial anatomy and discuss your desired outcomes to determine the appropriate dosage for optimal results.
What Happens During a Wrinkle Relaxer Treatment?
The process starts with a consultation, followed by a series of small injections. Results begin to appear within a few days, with full effects visible in about two weeks.
How Long Does It Take to See Botox Results?
Results typically start showing within 3-5 days, with full effects in about 10-14 days.
What Should I Know for My First Botox Treatment?
To reduce bruising, apply arnica before treatment. After injections, avoid lying down for four hours and move the treated muscles to help distribute the product evenly.
What Should I Avoid After Botox?
To make Botox last longer, avoid excessive alcohol, rubbing or massaging the area, and strenuous exercise for at least 24 hours.
What’s the Difference Between Botox and Filler?
Botox relaxes muscles to smooth wrinkles, while fillers add volume to areas like the cheeks, lips, and under the eyes.
How Often Should I Get Botox?
Most people schedule Botox every 3-4 months to maintain results. Your provider can help create a personalized schedule.
Can Zinc Help Botox Last Longer?
Studies suggest that taking a 50 mg zinc supplement may help Botox last longer by supporting the enzyme that makes Botox effective. Ask your provider if this could be a good option for you.
How Long Does Bruising Take to Go Away?
Bruising after Botox is usually mild and fades within 3 to 7 days. Some people may see it disappear even sooner, while others may take up to two weeks, depending on their skin type and healing process.
To help bruises heal faster:
-Apply ice immediately after treatment to reduce swelling and minimize bruising.
-Use arnica gel or supplements, which can help speed up the healing process.
-Avoid blood thinners (like aspirin, ibuprofen, and alcohol) before and after treatment, as they can increase bruising.
If bruising lasts longer than expected, consult your provider for additional tips on healing.
Why is botox not working?
Few reasons Botox might not seem to be working as expected:
1. Botox Resistance: A small percentage of patients may develop resistance to Botox over time. This can occur due to the formation of antibodies against the active ingredient, botulinum toxin type A. If this is the case, alternative treatments or different formulations may be recommended.
2. Natural Variation in Response: A small percentage of people do not experience the expected effects of Botox. This variability can stem from differences in muscle anatomy, metabolism, or individual biological responses.
3. Differences in Botox Brands: Different botulinum toxin brands, such as Dysport or Xeomin, may have variations in their formulation, diffusion, and potency. These differences sometimes necessitate adjustments in dosage or technique to achieve optimal results.
4. Unit Requirements: The number of units required to achieve the desired effect can vary from person to person. Factors such as muscle strength, treatment area, and individual goals can influence this. Occasionally, additional units may be needed to fine-tune the outcome.
We recommend to take clear photos of the treated area daily and send them to us, these photos will help us assess and guide you.
When’s the best time to get Botox?
Although many people begin receiving preventive Botox Treatments in their 20s and 30s, there is no certain age at which you should begin. Instead, pay attention to the problems with your skin. When you first notice fine lines starting to appear, you should consider getting BOTOX.
Why my eyelids are droopy after botox?
Droopy eyelids, or ptosis, can sometimes occur after Botox due to how the product interacts with your muscles. This effect is typically temporary and should improve as the Botox wears off over the next few weeks. In the meantime, here are some options to address the issue:
-Upneeq Eye Drops: These prescription drops can temporarily lift the eyelids and help improve the appearance.
Eyelid Tape: A simple, non-invasive option to provide a temporary lift.
-Additional Botox: In some cases, injecting Botox just under the eyebrow can open up the eyes and improve symmetry.
-Excess Skin in the Upper Eyelid: If drooping is due to excessive upper eyelid skin, a surgical solution like blepharoplasty may be worth considering for longer-term results.
We recommend to take clear photos of the treated area daily and send them to us, these photos will help us assess and guide you. We’d love to schedule a follow-up appointment to assess your situation and discuss the best next steps for you. Your satisfaction and confidence are our top priorities!
