How it works

Blood Collection: A small sample of the patient’s blood (usually 10-20 mL, about 2-4 teaspoons) is drawn from the arm, similar to a standard blood test. The blood is collected in specialized tubes for processing.

Centrifugation: The blood sample is placed in a centrifuge, a machine that spins the blood at high speed to separate its components.During centrifugation, the heavier components, like red and white blood cells, settle at the bottom of the tube, while the plasma, which contains a higher concentration of platelets, rises to the top. This platelet-rich plasma (PRP) contains several growth factors and proteins that help in tissue healing and regeneration.

The concentrated PRP layer is extracted from the tube for injection, while the other blood components are discarded.

PRP Application: PRP is applied to the skin after microneedling to promote healing and collagen production.

Post-Injection Care: After the procedure, patients may experience mild discomfort, swelling, or bruising at the injection site. These side effects typically resolve within a few days to 2 weeks.

DAY 1

On the next day, you may clean your face as usual and apply makeup, lotions and other topical products as usual. Stay away from exfoliants or glycolic acids that are present is cleaners as these can make your skin very dry after the procedure. Be sure to use an approved SPF30 or greater sunscreen!

DAY 2-7

Within two (2) days following your Micro-Needling procedure, you will notice skin dryness and flaking. This is due to an increased turnover of skin cells. During this period, you may apply your regular skin moisturizer. Follow the instructions given to you by your medical professional. If your medical professional used the roller or needle device around the eyes, you may have a little micro bruising that may exist for three or four days. This can easily be covered with makeup.
Days later, your skin will start shedding. These are skin layers that would regularly shed a week later, but the Micro-Needling brings this skin to the surface sooner. During this temporary process, your skin will shed and be dry.
